This service 'Manufacture of wiring devices' is coverd by the EU Service Directive.
This service includes the manufacture of current-carrying and non-current carrying electrical wiring devices, regardless of the materials used in their manufacture, for the installation of electric circuits.
This service includes:
- Manufacture of busbars, electrical conductors (except conductors used for switchgear systems)
- Manufacture of earth leakage circuit breakers (ELCB)
- Manufacture of lamp sockets
- Manufacture of lightning protection devices and lightning protection coils (pig tails)
- Manufacture of switches for electric circuits (e.g. push-, push-button, snap-action, and rocker switches)
- Manufacture of socket outlets
- Manufacture of boxes for the installation of electric circuits (e.g. terminal boxes, distribution boxes, switching boxes/control boxes)
- Manufacture of insulating pipes (conduits) and pipe fittings
- Manufacture of building components made of metal for power poles and lines
- Manufacture of non-current carrying electrical wiring devices made of plastics, including terminal boxes made of plastics, front panels, and the like, as well as plastic building components for transmission lines and switch covers
This service does not include:
- Manufacture of insulating components made of plastics (see 22.29.0)
- Manufacture of insulators and insulating components made of glass (see 23.19.0)
- Manufacture of insulators made of ceramic materials (see 23.43.0)
- Manufacture of electronic connections, socket outlets, switches, and other electronic building components (see 26.11.1 and 26.11.9)
