Description

Purpose

Pre-start-up consulting is an important instrument for increasing the prospects of success and sustainably securing start-ups and company takeovers. The aim is to give founders and company takeovers an opportunity to take advantage of coaching services in good time in order to get off to a successful start in the market.

Object

Funding is provided for coaching measures for plausible and probable start-up projects or planned business takeovers by eligible applicants. Eligible for funding are coaching measures on economic, financial and organizational issues prior to the planned business start-up or business takeover. The focus must be on business management consulting.

Beneficiaries

Eligible applicants are

• Founders with residence and planned future company headquarters or at least future branch office in Bavaria before the start-up or registration of a company in the main occupation in the commercial sector (trade, crafts, industry, hospitality and tourism, other service industries, transport industry, etc.) as well as in the area of the liberal professions, which meet the EU definition of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
• In addition, founders with residence and planned future company headquarters or at least future branch office in Bavaria, who want to change from the already registered sideline business to the main business.
• The planned participation in a company in Bavaria is also considered to be an eligible start-up if at least 15% of the capital shares are taken over and the founder will have management authority.

Eligible costs

Expenses for business management consulting are eligible for funding.

Type and amount

A maximum of 10 consulting days is eligible for funding. The maximum eligible consultancy fee is 800 euros per day. Of this, 70% is granted as a subsidy. The subsidy is reimbursed, i.e. the subsidy is not paid out until the consultant invoice has been paid in full.

Prerequisites

The subsidy can be applied for by founders or business takeovers prior to setting up a business or registering a trade as a main occupation in the fields of trade and industry, crafts and the liberal professions. The main residence and the planned company headquarters must be located in Bavaria.

The projects must comply with the general project selection criteria "Methodology and Criteria for the Selection of Projects from the ESF+ Bavaria 2021-2027 and these funding guidelines as well as the requirements of the program "Working and Living in Bavaria - Future Opportunities for Europe" ESF+ Bavaria 2021-2027.

Coaching may only begin after the granting agency has issued the approval and the consulting contract has been concluded.

The grant can only be paid if

• payment of the consulting invoice has been made in full and the founder has proven this by submitting an original bank statement or a turnover statement, whereby the own financial contribution to be made may not come from ESF+-funded resources from other measures, and
• the necessary accounting documents have been submitted in due time during the approved approval period.

Procedure

The first point of contact for coaching is the respective responsible office (locally responsible Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Chamber of Crafts or Institute for Liberal Professions).

The coaching must be applied for at the respective responsible approval office (Nuremberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Middle Franconia, Chamber of Crafts [except HWK Swabia] or Institute for Liberal Professions) before the start of the consulting. Founders from the craft sector from the administrative district of Swabia can contact HWK Oberbayern and HWK Mittelfranken.

The granting offices support the founder in the application process with the choice of advisor, approve the grant and arrange for payment.

If the grant application is submitted electronically without a certified signature, it is only valid if the original document (grant application together with the de minimis declaration), which has been printed out and signed in person by the applicant, is received by the relevant approval office within 14 days.

Fees

• The applicant must bear the own contribution of 30% to the consulting costs.
