Assessment centers for driving suitability; application for official recognition

The government of the Upper Palatinate grants official recognition to the assessment centers for driving aptitude.

Description

Applicants for a driving license must meet the physical and mental requirements for this (fitness to drive). If the driving license authority has doubts about the suitability of an applicant, he or she is examined by an assessment center for driving suitability. Doubts about suitability may arise, for example, in the case of hearing loss, cardiac arrhythmia, alcohol abuse or the use of narcotics.

The assessment of fitness to drive is carried out by an assessment center for fitness to drive, which must be officially recognized for this purpose.
