Law firm; application for admission

The activity as a limited liability law company requires a license. A joint-stock law company is, in principle, eligible for admission.

The application for admission as a limited liability law company or a joint-stock law company shall be submitted to the Bar Association in whose district the law firm is to be established.

The essential basis for the admission of a law company is the company's articles of association, which must be notarized. It is advisable to coordinate the draft articles of association with the Bar Association prior to notarization. This will enable any corrections to be made without complications.

Admission as a law company by the Bar Association can only take place after the company has been entered in the Commercial Register. The application for registration in the Commercial Register is made by the notary public, who usually requests a clearance certificate from the Bar Association for this purpose.
