Architect and town planner; application for registration in the register of foreign companies
Non-resident architects and urban planners may apply for registration in the register of non-resident societies.
Description
Foreign companies may use the professional titles "architect", "interior architect", "landscape architect" and "urban planner" if they are authorised to do so under the law of their country of origin. Foreign companies which are not registered in a company register in the Federal Republic of Germany must give prior notice of the first provision of services. They will be listed in a separate register.
The registration committee at the Bavarian Chamber of Architects examines and decides on the registration in the lists and directories.
Prerequisites
- authority under the law of the home Member State to use the professional title on behalf of the company
- adequate professional indemnity insurance
- Regulations in articles of association or statutes, among others
- the object of the company is the exercise of the professional functions of architects, interior architects, landscape architects or town planners,
- majority of capital and voting shares held by architects or town planners,
- Management of the company by architects or town planners
Deadlines
- for the applicant: none; prior to commencement of the activity, notification of the first performance of the service
- for the authority: three months after receipt of application and complete submission of documents
