Mining; indication of a borehole
Boreholes that are not boreholes for the exploration of mineral resources and penetrate deeper than 100 m into the ground must be notified.
The well penetrates deeper than 100 m into the ground and is not a well for the exploration of mineral resources.
The notification must be made to the competent mining office.
In addition, there is an obligation to notify the State Office for the Environment in accordance with Section 8 of the Geological Data Act (for further information, see "Related topics").
The start and cessation of drilling work must be notified at least two weeks in advance. If drilling work has to be stopped within a shorter period of time, the notification must be made immediately.
