Environmental management system; application for funding

With the Bavarian Environmental Management and Audit Programme (BUMAP), the Free State of Bavaria supports, within the framework of the Bavarian Environmental Pact, companies with their registered office or branch office in Bavaria which, organised in project groups, wish to introduce an environmental management system.

Description

Purpose

The grant is intended to encourage Bavarian companies to adopt a corporate environmental policy that systematically anchors environmental protection in companies and internal processes in such a way that not only compliance with the relevant environmental regulations is strengthened but, in addition, voluntary improvements in corporate environmental performance are made on a continuous and sustainable basis.

Object

Funding is provided exclusively within the framework of project groups. In this context, a project management agency organises group consultations.

Recipients of funding

Funding is provided exclusively within the framework of project groups (minimum 5 to maximum 15 participants).

The project executing agency and the individual project group participants are entitled to submit applications.

Project sponsors can be companies, business organizations such as chambers of commerce, associations or guilds, and municipalities. Consultancy firms are excluded from project sponsorship.

Project group participants are commercial enterprises, freelance professionals, business organizations such as chambers, associations or guilds, or municipal enterprises and municipal companies with their registered office or branch in Bavaria.

Eligible expenditure

The following are eligible for funding:

  • Expenses for group and individual consultations
  • validation, certification or external auditing of the introduced management as well as its one-time revalidation or recertification
  • reasonable and proven rental expenses
  • Expenses of the project-executing agency for the organisational handling.

Type and amount

The funding is provided in the form of grants as project funding by way of partial financing.

A grant amounting to 80% of the eligible expenditure will be awarded. The project executing agency's eligible expenditure will be recognised up to a maximum of EUR 3,000. The eligible expenditure of the project group participants will be recognised depending on the focus of the funded environment-oriented management.
