Eligible to apply are the associations of voluntary welfare work and their affiliated organizations as well as other institutions or local authorities

Eligible costs

Funding can be provided for personnel or material expenses, depending on the object of the funding

Type and amount

Within the framework of project funding, grants are awarded in the form of fixed-amount funding (lump sums) or grants or allocations in the form of shortfall funding, depending on the object of the funding.

For individual projects and individual measures, the grant amounts to a maximum of 80% of the eligible expenses.

The executing agency must provide a contribution of its own as stipulated by budgetary law.

Prerequisites

Essential eligibility requirements:

  • Psychosocial AIDS counseling centers must perform the tasks in the areas of prevention, counseling, and care described in more detail in the Guidelines for the Promotion of Psychosocial AIDS Counseling Centers and the Prevention of the Immune Deficiency Disease AIDS and must fulfill the organizational requirements and provide the necessary personnel.
  • Other prevention measures and projects can be funded if there is an unavoidable need for the planned measure and the prevention goals cannot be achieved in any other way.

Application

Applications are to be submitted to the government locally responsible for the location of the institution

Approval

The governments are responsible for granting funding. The governments submit the applications for initial funding to the State Ministry of Health and Care for a decision after reviewing the content and legal aspects of the funding. The approval period is the calendar year.

Funding is provided without legal entitlement within the limits of the available budget.

Deadlines

Applications for initial funding under the guideline for the funding of psychosocial AIDS counseling centers and the prevention of the immunodeficiency disease AIDS can be submitted at any time during the period of validity of the guideline (01.01.2022-31.12.2024).

Applications for funding for the ongoing support of psychosocial AIDS counseling centers or for the continuation of existing measures and projects must be submitted by October 1 of the year preceding the funding period applied for. Applications received after this date will not be considered.
