Viticulture; application for volume compensation (single-farm scheme)
Quantitative compensation may be requested for vineyards belonging to winegrowers' cooperatives and producer associations of other legal forms within an area.
Description
Within the framework of the maximum yield per hectare regulation (total yield per hectare), the vineyards of winegrowers' cooperatives and producer associations of other legal forms within an area can be considered as one business and carry out a quantity equalization of wine from vineyards of an area within the member community. In this way, over-quantities of one member can be compensated by under-quantities of another.
If a member of a winegrowers' cooperative or producer association of a different legal form delivers its entire harvest as grapes or grape must to the winegrowers' cooperative or producer association, the legislator allows the excess quantity calculation to be made not for each individual member, but for the total of all fully delivering members. The total vineyard area of all members subject to full delivery is thereby considered as one wine-producing enterprise. Within a self-marketing winery, this regulation applies analogously.
Prerequisites
Full delivery obligation of the respective member for grapes or grape must from all its vineyards.
Only vineyards within one area may be balanced with each other.
