You can apply for registration in the list of consulting engineers.

Description

The professional title "Consulting Engineer" may only be used by those who are registered under this title in the list of Consulting Engineers at the Bavarian Chamber of Civil Engineers.

The registration committee at the Bavarian Chamber of Civil Engineers examines and decides on the registration in the corresponding list.

Prerequisites

Authorization to use the professional title "Ingenieurin" or "Ingenieur" in accordance with the German Engineering Act (as a rule, completion of a degree of at least three years in a technical or scientific discipline is required)
subsequent three years of professional experience
responsible and independent practice of the profession
Residence, establishment or predominant professional employment in Bavaria

Deadlines

for the applicant: none
prior to commencement of the activity, notification of the first performance of the service is required if there is no membership in a German Chamber of Engineers

Processing time

for the authority: three months after receipt of application and complete submission of documents

Proof of entitlement to use the professional title "Ingenieurin"/"Ingenier" (usually degree certificate from the university)
Evidence of the subsequent period of practice
Evidence of autonomous and independent professional practice
Certificate of good conduct
Registration certificate

190 Euro - registration in the list of consulting engineers
114 Euro - as far as voluntary membership already exists
70 Euro - as far as already registered in another chamber in Germany or deletion there within the last year due to moving away
