The Bavarian Architects' Pension Fund (BArchV) is responsible for Bavaria, Lower Saxony and Rhineland-Palatinate.
It is a public law institution with administrative autonomy and has the task of providing for its members in old age and in the event of occupational disability, as well as for the member's surviving dependents.
The pension scheme is part of the statutory pension scheme and thus the first pillar of old-age provision.
Members of the Bavarian Architects' Pension Fund acquire their pension entitlement by paying compulsory contributions and/or voluntary additional payments.
If you belong to one of the chambers of architects in Bavaria, Lower Saxony or Rhineland-Palatinate, your membership in the pension fund begins on the day of your registration in the list of architects or urban planners. The respective chamber of architects will inform the Versorgungswerk about your registration.
In order to verify your compulsory membership, data must be submitted via the membership survey form.
Membership in the Versorgungswerk continues for the entire duration of your membership in one of these architectural associations. Consequently, your membership in the Versorgungswerk only ends when you no longer belong to any of these chambers of architects. In addition, you can terminate your membership by application through exemption, provided that the requirements for this are met.
