Mobile geriatric rehabilitation; application for funding to set up
The Free State of Bavaria supports the development of mobile geriatric rehabilitation in Bavaria.
With regard to the
consistent implementation of the principles "outpatient before inpatient" and "rehabilitation before care", support for the establishment of mobile geriatric rehabilitation in Bavaria is intended to contribute to ensuring a demand-oriented supply of outpatient medical rehabilitation services
Funding is provided for the initial phase of interdisciplinary teams to provide mobile geriatric rehabilitation services (MoGeRe teams)
Eligible to apply are MoGeRe teams for which the Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Krankenkassenverbände in Bayern (ARGE) has announced the prospect of a supply contract or with which the ARGE has concluded a supply contract
Funding can be provided for expenses that are necessarily incurred in the initial phase of a MoGeRe team and are not reimbursed by the supply contract with ARGE.

The initial phase begins at the earliest from the date of written notification of the supply contract by the ARGE. The initial phase ends no later than 12 months after the conclusion of the contract. The maximum funding period in the initial phase is 12 months
Type and amount
The funding is provided in the form of a grant in the maximum amount of 25,000.00 euros per MoGeRe team. The grant is awarded by way of project funding as shortfall financing. The grant recipient must bear at least 10% of the eligible expenses itself. There is no legal entitlement to the funding.
- Written prospect of a supply contract or conclusion of a supply contract with the ARGE.
- Initial phase of the MoGeRe team cannot be financed in any other way (i.e. grant is subsidiary to all other benefits, cf. Article 23 of the Budget Code of the Free State of Bavaria (Bayerische Haushaltsordnung - BayHO)).
- Measures that have already been started cannot be funded.
Applications should be sent to the Bavarian State Ministry of Health and Care (Department 46).
