Fire protection occupies a large space in the Bavarian Building Code in addition to the substantive legal requirements placed on buildings and structural facilities.

Formalities

Tree cutting or tree modification; application.
Before you cut down a tree, even if it is on your own property, you should check with your municipality to see if it has enacted a tree protection ordinance. If so, trees may only be cut down or pruned with permission.
Fire protection of buildings; enforcement of building regulations
The respective lower building supervisory authority is responsible for the enforcement of building regulations.
Protection of historical monuments; application for a grant from the Bavarian compensation fund
For measures on monuments, grants can be applied for from the compensation fund under the Bavarian Monument Protection Act.
Fire inspection; implementation
The purpose of the fire inspection is to prevent hazards to life, health, property or possessions that may result from fires.
Fire department; expert advice
The expert advisors for fire and disaster protection (FBBK) at the governments provide expert technical advice in defensive fire protection and preventive measures necessary to ensure defensive fire protection.
