Description
The Bavarian Road Information System (BAYSIS) is the central information platform of the Bavarian Road Administration. BAYSIS maps the supralocal road network of the Free State of Bavaria and its essential characteristics. It serves the collection, maintenance, evaluation and provision of road-related technical information.
This information is available to the public on the BAYSIS Internet. The central application is the BAYSIS map window as an interactive geoinformation system (WebGIS). In addition, a wide range of information on the road network, such as traffic data and expansion programs, can be accessed online in tabular and cartographic form.
For professional further processing, the road network as well as specialized data are provided in the form of services (web services). This offer is constantly being expanded.
