The state advisory service on household services as an area of agricultural administration serves to qualify agricultural and household enterprises in the areas of farm management and income combination (EKK). This offer supports the further development of farms in establishing another mainstay. This helps to mitigate structural change in agriculture.
The entrepreneurial potential based on agricultural, home economics and other useful education, training and further education of agricultural family members is utilized. Questions e.g. of strategic farm-specific development, socio-economic framework conditions and optimal office and work organization are answered.
The agricultural administration advises and qualifies farmers and their family members in the establishment or further development of an EKK. The focus of the EKK is on agro-tourism, direct marketing and farm gastronomy, domestic service enterprises with delicatessen/party service and/or domestic services and family care as well as experience-oriented offers such as experience on the farm, children's birthday parties on the farm, countryside experience trips, offers by herb pedagogues, garden farmers and farm guides. In addition, other opportunities such as social farming are developing. Cooperation and networking within agriculture and outside with economic and social partners strengthen and stabilize income opportunities and contribute to increasing the attractiveness of rural areas.
The EKK not only contribute to improving income in agriculture, but also build confidence in domestic agriculture by strengthening the "agriculture and society" dialogue. In all areas of consulting and qualification, special emphasis is placed on sustainable management. Consultation is free of charge. In the case of qualification measures, a corresponding share of own contribution is incurred.
