If you are transporting more than 60 liters of an unbottled wine product, you must have a wine accompanying document for each shipment.

Description

You need a wine accompanying document for the transport of wine products that have not been bottled.

Wine products are

  • Grapes,
  • grape must,
  • mash,
  • wine,
  • sparkling wine,
  • sparkling wine,
  • liqueur wine and
  • fortified wine.

The accompanying document entitles you to transport the wine products from the producer to the further processing or utilization point, for example to a winery. You are obliged to use an accompanying document.

Prerequisites

You need a wine accompanying document in the following cases:

  • You are transporting bulk wine products of more than 60 liters.
  • You are transporting wine products in labeled containers of more than 10 liters that are fitted with a non-reusable closure.
  • The transport distance of wine products is more than 70 kilometers
    • from the vineyard to the wine-making plant,
    • between two plants of the same company,
    • between the plants of a producer association.

Procedure

Accompanying documents can be issued in paper form or electronically from 14.12.2022.

You can obtain the five-fold accompanying document carbon copy from the competent district administrative authority.
