In occupational safety, companies are required by law to take certain measures, e.g. various persons must be appointed, such as occupational safety specialists or company physicians. Deviations must be approved by the responsible trade supervisory office.

Firearms, muzzleloader and reloader shooters; registration for the technical course with examination
In order to obtain a permit to purchase and handle propellant powder, firecracker, muzzleloader and reloader shooters must prove their expertise in handling these explosive substances. The Trade Supervisory Office at the Government of Upper Bavaria conducts the required examinations throughout Bavaria.

Fire protection; implementation of preventive fire protection measures
Preventive fire protection is the umbrella term for all measures that prevent or limit the development, spread and effects of fires in advance. The actions and conditions that pose a fire hazard and are therefore prohibited are listed in the Ordinance on the Prevention of Fires.

When handling explosive substances, the requirements of the Explosives Act (SprengG) must be observed. Therefore, as a rule, only persons in possession of an explosives permit or a certificate of competence may handle explosive substances.

Only competent persons may handle laser equipment. Before the laser equipment is put into operation for the first time, it must be inspected by a competent person. As a rule, a competent laser protection officer must be appointed in writing before lasers of classes 3R, 3B and 4 are put into operation.
