Schools of a special nature; application for a teaching staff grant
The Free State of Bavaria grants a subsidy for teaching staff at special schools whose employer is a municipal corporation.
For teaching staff at municipal schools of a special type whose employer is a municipal body (e.g. municipality, district, borough), the Free State of Bavaria grants the municipal school authorities a subsidy of 61% of the teaching staff costs for grammar school and secondary modern school classes, and 80% for secondary modern school classes. The total teaching staff subsidy per school of a special type calculated on this basis shall be 95 %. The subsidy is calculated in accordance with the provisions of Art. 57 in conjunction with Art. 17 of the Bavarian School Financing Act. Art. 17 Bavarian School Financing Act (BaySchFG). The grant is awarded for the respective financial year.
It must be a school of a special kind (Art. 122 Para. 1 BayEUG), whose personnel cost bearer is a municipal corporation.
The Bavarian State Office for Schools usually grants the subsidies with down payments in May and August as well as a settlement including final payment in autumn of the respective year.
Since the benefits are granted ex officio without application, there are no time limits to be observed.
As a rule, the staff of the school of a particular type will receive a written decision by the beginning of December at the latest.
