Inpatient residential places for people with disabilities; application for funding

The state promotes the new construction and conversion of inpatient places of residence for people with disabilities.

Description

Purpose

Individual, community-integrated forms of living are to be created which enable people with disabilities to live independently and autonomously as far as possible.

Object

The state promotes the new construction and conversion of inpatient places of residence for people with disabilities.

Beneficiaries

Entitled to apply are institutions providing in-patient accommodation for people with disabilities.

Eligible for funding costs

Funding is provided for property, construction and ancillary construction costs in accordance with §§ 5 to 8 of the Ordinance on Housing Calculations under the Second Housing Act (Second Calculation Ordinance - II. BV) (= total costs).

Type and amount

The state subsidy amounts to up to 70 percent of the respective eligible costs, depending on the type of facility.

Prerequisites

A prerequisite for funding is that a long-term need for residential places can be demonstrated and a professional concept is available that takes account of the goals of inclusion.
The construction project may not be started or a purchase contract concluded before the funding has been approved.

Procedure

As a rule, the projects must be submitted to the State Ministries for Family Affairs, Labour and Social Affairs and for Housing, Construction and Transport by 15 March of each year for inclusion in the annual funding programme. The documents must therefore be submitted to the approval offices in good time beforehand.

After the Bavarian State Ministry for Family Affairs, Labour and Social Affairs and the Bavarian State Ministry for Housing, Construction and Transport have drawn up the annual funding programme, the funding agencies will invite the sponsors of the planned projects to submit their applications.

The Bayerische Landesbodenkreditanstalt, which is responsible for loan administration, then sends the loan commitment and the notice of approval to the project-executing agency.

Disbursement is made according to the progress of construction work and must be applied for at the approval office.

Applications for subsidies must be submitted to the governments, the state capital Munich and the cities of Augsburg and Nuremberg. These offices also provide information on the further procedure.
