Description
The Bavarian Village Development Program is intended to prepare rural villages or parts of municipalities for future requirements against the background of demographic change, structural change in agriculture and climate change. Village renewal sustainably improves the infrastructural, economic and ecological conditions in the village, it maintains or revitalizes the community spirit in the village and develops a strategy that ensures future-oriented development.
The offices for rural development support villages with up to 2000 inhabitants in planning, financially and organizationally. Within the framework of a holistic approach, public and private measures can be implemented in the areas of construction, design, ecology, economy, social and culture.
The active participation of the citizens is crucial for the success of village renewal. They should have a say and be involved in decision-making so that they can support the results of the change process. Village renewal strengthens rural communities and their villages as sustainable, attractive and vital living spaces.
