Severely disabled person's card; application
You can obtain a severely disabled person's ID card if your degree of disability is at least 50. The Zentrum Bayern Familie und Soziales is responsible for issuing it.
Description
Upon your application, the Bavarian Family and Social Affairs Center will establish
- the existence of a disability and
- the degree of disability (GdB) and, if applicable, other health characteristics (characteristics) for the claim of disadvantage compensation,
if you have your place of residence, your usual place of abode or your place of work in Bavaria. If the degree of disability is at least 50, you can apply for a severely disabled person's ID card.
The degree of disability is determined according to the "Versorgungsmedizinische Grundsätze" (medical care principles), which are part of the Versorgungsmedizin-Verordnung (VersMedV). These determinations are usually the prerequisite for disabled people to be able to claim the disadvantage compensation and rights to which they are entitled.
The severely disabled person's ID card will be sent directly to you by the regional office of the Bavarian Family and Social Affairs Center responsible for you.
You can also apply for your ID card online (see link under "Online procedure") or save the application forms (see "Forms") on your PC, fill them out, print them out and then send them to the regional office of the Center for Bavarian Family and Social Affairs responsible for you.
