Private elementary, middle and special schools; application for school supervisory approval of building projects
School supervisory approval is required for the implementation of new buildings, conversions and extensions at private secondary schools. The governments are responsible for issuing this.
Description
The school supervisory authority's approval establishes that the building programme meets the school's needs and covers the necessary space requirements, taking into account the existing building stock.
The school supervisory authority's approval is to be granted if the necessary space requirements for the numbers of pupils and classes to be expected in the long term - taking into account the existing situation - are covered and the proper running of the school is guaranteed. In the case of conversions and extensions, approval can already be granted if the realisation of the planned building measures will at least improve inadequate school conditions.
Procedure
The application to be submitted by the funding body with the participation of the school must be accompanied by documents (see under "Documents").
The governments are responsible for granting school supervisory approval.
