Waste disposal; participation of the municipality
Counties can transfer individual waste disposal tasks to the municipalities belonging to the county. The municipalities belonging to the district support the district in the implementation of recycling measures on their territory.
Description
The counties may, by ordinance, transfer individual waste disposal tasks to the municipalities belonging to the counties or their associations with their consent, if proper waste disposal is guaranteed and the specifications of the waste management plan do not conflict with this. The collection, transport and disposal of biowaste may be transferred by the district in consultation with the municipalities belonging to the district or their associations; at the request of municipalities belonging to the district or their associations, the district shall transfer these tasks.
The municipalities belonging to the district shall support the district in carrying out recovery measures on their territory. In particular, they shall provide land, facilities and personnel for the collection of recyclable waste. Before determining such measures, the county shall give the municipalities belonging to the county the opportunity to comment. The costs for the services of the municipalities belonging to the district shall be borne by the district.
