Private special schools; application for reimbursement of staff costs

The Free State of Bavaria reimburses the sponsors of private special schools for the necessary personnel expenses for non-governmental personnel.

Description

The Free State of Bavaria grants the sponsors of private special schools reimbursement of staff costs for privately employed teaching staff, other educational staff as well as privately employed nursing staff and private administrative staff at private special schools.

The sponsors of private special schools may, under certain conditions, receive funding in accordance with Article 33 of the Bavarian School Funding Act or Article 34a of the Bavarian School Funding Act.

Procedure

For each person who is to be included in the staff cost allowance, a written application must be submitted by the school board to the government of the governmental district in which the private special school is located.

Applications are processed by the relevant government. The allowances for staff costs are granted monthly by the Land Office of Finance.

Deadlines

The application for personnel cost reimbursement must be submitted anew for each teacher, curative education teaching aid, nurse and administrative employee.

The government must be informed immediately of any changes in the employment relationship.

Required documents

If the personnel do not require school supervisory approval, the following documents must be attached to the request for reimbursement of costs:
- Curriculum vitae
- certificates/evidence of education
- extended certificate of good conduct according to § 30 a BZRG
- Declaration on criminal and investigative proceedings
- employment contract
