Vocational schools; school supervisory approval of construction measures
For the implementation of new buildings, conversions and extensions at vocational schools, a school supervisory permit is required. The governments are responsible for issuing such permits.
The school supervisory authority's approval establishes that the building programme meets the school's needs and covers the necessary space requirements, taking into account the existing building stock.
The school supervisory authority's approval is to be granted if the necessary space requirements for the numbers of pupils and classes to be expected in the long term - taking into account the existing situation - are covered and the proper running of the school is guaranteed. In the case of conversions and extensions, permission can already be granted if the realisation of the planned building measures will at least improve inadequate school conditions. The application to be submitted by the funding agency with the participation of the school must be accompanied by documents on the actual catchment area, insofar as a school district has not been legally established for the school, the number of pupils to be expected in the long term, the space requirements of the school based on §§ 3 and 4 of the School Construction Ordinance (SchulbauV) with information on the function and size of the planned rooms and areas, the existing stock and its future use.
The governments are responsible for granting school supervisory approval.
