Youth traffic schools; information

An important contribution to the road safety of the youngest road users is made in the Youth Traffic School.

Description

Since 1972, nearly all Bavarian fourth-graders have been trained to become safe cyclists through theoretical and practical cycling training in the Youth Traffic Schools (JVS) by police traffic educators and their teachers.

Only after this training - and its positive conclusion with a passed test - should children ride their bikes to school. Nevertheless, keep a close eye on your child as he or she rides a bicycle on the road. Intervene immediately if you see any mistakes or insecurities. Be a good role model. Always wear a bicycle helmet and pay attention to traffic rules.

If you have further questions: Contact the school and the local police.
