In principle, there is freedom of trade in the Federal Republic of Germany. However, there are certain trades that you may only operate with a permit from the trade authority or that are subject to certain monitoring.

• Energy supply; display of energy supply

  Anyone wishing to bring pathogens into the Federal Republic of Germany, export them, store them, dispense them or work with them requires permission from the competent authority.
